Jin Sei Kai Merit Badges

Merit Awards

The Jinseikai karate association runs its own merit badge award scheme which can be started at any time of the year.

There are three awards in the scheme which are bronze, silver and gold. Each award takes three months or more to complete.

During the period students must show continuous improvement in three areas; by helping at home, improving grades at school and training enthusiastically at the club.

The Gold level award must be achieved before students are allowed to grade for black belt.

How to start a Merit Award

  1. Please ask the club secretary for a merit badge application form.
  2. The form must be signed by the student's parent, school teacher and karate instructor at the start of each time period and once more upon completion.
