Badge Testing Proficiency Badges During the first week of
every month, part of the lesson is devoted to taking proficiency
badges. Students can be tested for one badge only
per month. More About Proficiency Badges >> Merit Awards The Jinseikai karate association runs its own merit
badge award scheme and these can be begun at any time of
the
year. There are three awards (bronze, silver and
